Chris Carr is a London-based director working across film, commercials, and branded content. His narrative work is driven by a focus on character, conversation, and the emotional weight of professional lives — often exploring themes of secrecy, power, and the human cost of institutions.
Alongside his narrative work, Chris has directed commercials and brand films for organisations including BMW, Epson, NS&I, Superdrug, The Perfume Shop, and the University of Surrey.
His short film The Dry Cleaner earned a nomination for Best British Director at the British Short Film Awards, and his work has been recognised for its authenticity and attention to detail within the world of intelligence and espionage.
Chris is also the creator and host of the internationally respected podcast Secrets & Spies, through which he has interviewed intelligence professionals, journalists, and policymakers. These conversations continue to inform his approach to storytelling, grounding his work in real-world insight and lived experience.
