Theatre “Our Jonathon” Role: Director
“Our Jonathon” written by Adam Thorn was a contemporary piece of theatre about a mother and father who travelled to Bath to see their estranged son Jonathon”.
It was a delight to direct this play, and we were thrilled that it won the Kenneth Branagh “New Drama Award” at the Windsor Fringe.
Theatre “Driven” Role: Director
Driven written by Adam Usden was a thoughtful and darkly comic play about a former taxi driver named Paul who’s job was to transport dead bodies from the hospital to their final resting place. Paul took his job seriously and took great pride in delivering his passengers with dignity on what would be their final journey. On one particular journey Paul comes to reflect on his own life.
I was selected to direct ‘Driven’ as part of the 2012 Off Cut festival at the Riverside Studio.
Out of the 28 plays and 120 actors, Andy Snowball the star of ‘Driven’ was voted ‘best actor’ by the festival audience. ‘Driven’ was also given a score of ‘5 out of 5’ by the theatre review site Remote Goat.
“Dr Who” star Louise Jamerson who was watching in the audience wrote afterwards that the play was “a joy to behold” and she kindly added “it was directed beautifully”
